The Black Horse Inn, originally known as the Horse and Groom, was established in the village of Swaffham Bulbeck as far back as 1765. It was renamed the Black Horse in the 1870’s, occupying the current premises from around 1889.
We are found on the scenic route to North Norfolk, which makes us a great stop off place to relax and have a drink! Various meetings for Vintage Car and Bike enthusiasts are held here. We can hold Breakfast or Evening meets with the option of live music or just a place to meet and show off your vehicles.
Overnight campers are welcome; stay in the comfort of your own van and still enjoy our excellent food and drink.
Food is served from our kitchen grill or a summer BBQ can be arranged along with our free range breakfast tea's and coffee's. We also offer a wide selection of real ales and fine wines which can be enjoyed sitting by an open fire during the winter months.
Our rooms, with parking right outside, are well appointed yet reasonably priced and we have Newmarket and the beautiful city of Cambridge less than ten miles away - plus many other local attractions.
